Kyiv, the 15th of August – Eterna Law joined the initiative “Pact for Youth in Ukraine – 2020”. The cooperation starts after the ceremonial signing the document by Oksana Kneychuk, Eterna Law Partner, in the Ministry of Youth and Sport, with participation of Mr Igor Zhdanov, Minister.
Together with other leading Ukrainian companies, Eterna Law will help to create 10, 000 places for internship and first jobs for the young professionals by the 2020. More than 200 companies – national leaders and international representatives in Ukraine have already joined the initiative.
Ukrainian Pact for Youth 2020 is a continuation of a pan-European initiative that started in Brussels in November 2015. The main issue of Ukrainian and European documents are nearly the same: overcoming of a youth unemployment, creating new places for training and employment, and strengthening partnerships between businesses and educational institutions. In Ukraine, the project is supported by the Center for Corporate-Social Initiatives and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, the unemployment rate among the population aged 15-24 years is 23.1% (2014). The number of young people who depart to study and work abroad grows rapidly. In addition, a large number of young people among the IDPs also requires employment.
Support of young professionals is a part of a long-term development program of Eterna Law. In search of talented lawyers and seeking to contribute to the development of legal science, Eterna Law collaborates with key universities in the country. Our leading lawyers conduct workshops and lectures, teach students practical skills for the legal business in European market. Each year we have more than 30 students as interns and 75% of them stay in company with the offer to work in the firm.
