ETERNA LAW’s Partner Artem Kuzmenko took part in a public discussion of the Gambling and Lottery Regulatory Commission on changes in gambling legislation

The Gambling and Lottery Regulatory Commission (GLRC) held a public discussion due to the need of improving the legal regulation of gambling market activities, which was attended by Artem Kuzmenko, GC-UA Deputy Head of the Board and ETERNA LAW’s partner.

The analysis of the gambling market revealed some issues that could have a negative impact on the development of economic activities of gambling entities, which contributes to the creation of unsuitable organisational and economic conditions for such activities. The GLRC announced that the work on the improvement of the Law of Ukraine “On State Regulation of Gambling Activities” has started, which will result in a draft bill on the improvement of the legal regulation of the gambling market.

Partner Artem Kuzmenko participated in the discussion with more than 30 participants of the meeting. It is the large coverage and effectiveness that will help to create an effective system dialogue between state authorities and civil society institutes.

“It is necessary to improve the law to ensure the normal functioning of the market and its full development because some norms either do not work correctly or do not work at all. We are ready to help the GLRC to prepare the necessary changes taking into account the best international practices,” says Artem Kuzmenko.
