Kyiv, February 6 – Aleksandr Lugovskyi, attorney-at-law, partner of ETERNA LAW, heads the AAU Committee on International Arbitration for the second year in a row by the decision of the AAU Board on January 31, 2020. Aleksandr has over 9 years of experience in international litigation and arbitration, advising a broad spectrum of clients ranging from high-profile businessmen to financial institutions on various civil, commercial, international trade and investment matters.
Aleksandr has an extensive experience in dealing with complex fraud, asset tracing, shareholders and M&A/post-M&A disputes involving multiple jurisdictions. He also regularly acts for the clients in proceedings before the Ukrainian courts in relation to recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards. Aleksandr also represented both companies and individuals in various international arbitration forums (LCIA, ICC, VIAC, NAI, SCC, ICAC at the UCCI and ICAC at the EACH).
The tasks and goals of the committee for this year include: the formulation of strategies for the development of international arbitration, the development and preparation of the necessary legislative initiatives, clarification of problematic issues in resolving arbitration disputes, etc.
