Just before the Russian Federation invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, ETERNA LAW had announced a launch of the social project “Change Ukraine”. The project is organised with the informational and organisational support from the Alumni association of the law faculty of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. We are forced to put the project on hold until Ukraine wins the war and Ukrainians can return to a peaceful full life.
When we were developing a concept of the project and preparing for its launch, we had two good aims at once – to make Ukraine a better place to live and work in, as well as to help active members of the younger generation to join such positive changes and gain experience in lawmaking. Today Ukraine and Ukrainians have other goals. Today we all are fighting Russian military aggression, defending our lives and independence. We all believe that Ukraine will win and when it happens, our tasks will be to rebuild the economy, industry, and infrastructure and to protect the rights of the war victims. That is why there is no doubt that once we are able to continue the project, its relevance and value will be even greater.
All applicants who, despite the military actions, found time and energy to submit their essays are automatically among the winners of the competition and will be able to join the work as soon as it becomes possible.
