Interview with Daria Romashchenko, junior associate of Eterna Law IP-practice

1. Why have you chosen Eterna Law for the internship and for the future work?

While сhoosing a law firm for internship, I drew attention to the availability of IP-practice (which I wanted to train in) and opportunities for the growth and professional development, which the firm offers. Eterna Law seemed to me a dynamic company that allows you to develop, sets high standards of legal consulting, and therefore has an excellent team of lawyers. In addition, I would like to try myself in TOP-5 leading Ukrainian law firms.

My expectations from the internship are fully justified. Eterna Law gave me the opportunity to expand my legal horizons and gain the necessary skills.

Interesting experience and a great team of highly qualified lawyers – a nice reason to wish to come back to the company after the end of internship. I am pleased to have an opportunity to work in Eterna Law team.

2. What advice would you give to those students who eager to get an internship in the international law firm?

I advise students to be prepared for the fact that about half of what you have to face, you either do not know or have learned in a wrong way at the university (theory often lags behind the practice). Therefore, almost every task – is a challenge. It was very interesting for me to cope with the job, “adapting” the theoretical knowledge to practical realities. It is also advisable to be persistent and ready to learn new and  always be creative, not to be afraid to make mistakes

3. What was the most difficult and the most interesting during the internship?

In the absence of experience all the tasks were initially (or seemed to be) difficult, but interesting at the same time. The desire to learn and to understand the result of each question motivated to cope with the most difficult tasks.
