ETERNA LAW at the 14th Annual Corporate Counsel Forum

ETERNA LAW at the 14th Annual Corporate Counsel Forum: Legal Challenges, Business Resilience and New Approaches to Legal Advisory Services

On 3 November 2026, the 14th Annual Corporate Counsel Forum, organised by Yurydychna Praktyka, took place in Kyiv. The event brought together representatives of leading law firms, heads of legal departments, in-house counsel and industry experts to discuss the most pressing challenges facing Ukrainian businesses.

ETERNA LAW was represented at the Forum by Partners Oleh Malskyy, Oleh Beketov, Eugene Blinov and Kristina Shapovalova, alongside Business Development Manager Artem Krivomazov.

This year’s discussions focused on issues directly affecting Ukrainian companies amid the ongoing war, economic uncertainty and an evolving regulatory environment.

Key topics on the agenda included:

  • Business resilience and continuity – maintaining operational stability and ensuring business continuity under martial law.
  • European integration – adapting business operations and internal processes to evolving EU regulatory requirements.
  • Corporate governance and compliance – strengthening governance frameworks and managing legal and regulatory risks.
  • Dispute resolution – recent developments in case law and approaches to commercial and tax disputes.
  • Collaboration between in-house legal teams and external counsel – evolving business expectations and changing requirements for legal advisory services.
  • Transformation of the legal function – the adoption of new technologies and artificial intelligence to enhance the efficiency of legal teams.

Particular attention was given to the role of external legal advisers and the criteria businesses apply when selecting their legal partners. Today, effective legal support extends well beyond addressing individual legal matters. It requires a thorough understanding of business operations, strategic insight, the ability to anticipate risks and a commercially focused approach to delivering practical solutions.

For the ETERNA LAW team, the Forum provided a valuable opportunity to exchange insights with fellow legal professionals, engage with business representatives and discuss developments shaping the legal market. Such professional dialogue helps us gain a deeper understanding of clients’ evolving needs, stay abreast of market developments and explore new approaches to complex legal challenges.

We would like to thank the organisers, speakers and all participants for their insightful discussions, valuable exchanges and the opportunity to engage in meaningful professional dialogue.
