Marharyta Tatarova is a counsel in the Corporate Law and M&A practice. Having over 10 years of professional experience, she advises clients on organizing and doing business in Ukraine. Marharyta aids clients in selecting the most suitable corporate structure, considering business objectives and tax implications. She also guides clients through the process of obtaining licenses from regulatory authorities and is responsible for developing customized contracts and corporate policy systems to safeguard the interests of company owners and executives.
Ms. Tatarova has also been involved in intricate international projects, particularly multi-jurisdictional M&A transactions, obtaining secured loans, reclassifying, and issuing shares for companies now listed on NASDAQ. Additionally, she has extensive experience in out-of-court settlement of disputes concerning foreign investors’ management of distressed assets, including transaction clearance with the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU).
Marharyta is experienced in all aspects of contract negotiation and execution, from drafting term sheets and participating in negotiation processes to overseeing due diligence procedures, developing transactional documents, and ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies such as the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine and the National Bank of Ukraine. She also coordinates internal and client teams throughout the deal closure process and provides support during the post-completion stage, including fulfilling post-completion obligations.
In light of the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine, Marharyta Tatarova has placed special emphasis on providing legal advice to clients on military and wartime laws. This includes advising on such issues as mobilization, contract negotiations, and forming partnerships within the defense industry.
Before joining ETERNA LAW, Marharyta was involved in supporting businesses and providing pro bono legal assistance to internally displaced persons from Donbas and Crimea.
In 2023, Marharyta Tatarova was included in the TOP-30 Under 30 Lawyers ranking published by the “Yurydychna Gazeta”.
